Hedge Fund Administrators

Hedge Fund administrators are firms whose role is to increase the transparency of a hedge fund for its investors.

In addition to net asset value (NAV) fund accounting, they are tasked tracking trades to ensure that the hedge fund actually owns the shares it puts on the books.  The primary role is one of due diligence for investors investors. Hedge fund administrators often use hedge fund databases plus direct communication with the funds themselves to put together a complete and accurate picture.
